WordPress SEO Developer · Speed & Development
WordPress SEO developerfor fast sites thatrank from day one.
I build and fix WordPress websites with SEO built into the code: fast themes, clean structure, correctly configured SEO plugins, schema, and Core Web Vitals that pass on mobile. Whether you need a new site or a faster version of the one you have, development and SEO come from the same person.
The Short Answer
What does a WordPress SEO developer do?
A WordPress SEO developer builds and optimizes WordPress sites so they are fast, crawlable, and structured to rank. That means lightweight themes and blocks instead of heavy page builders, a correctly configured SEO plugin, clean URL and archive structure, schema markup, image and script optimization, and caching that improves Core Web Vitals without breaking the site.
If Any of This Sounds Familiar
Your WordPress site scores poorly on PageSpeed, and installing another speed plugin made little difference.
Two plugins, or your theme and a plugin, are both outputting SEO tags, sitemaps, or schema.
Tag, category, author, and attachment pages are being indexed and competing with your real content.
Your designer built a beautiful site, but nobody planned it for search.
What’s Included
WordPress development and SEO, in one engagement
SEO-ready WordPress development
New sites built on lightweight themes and blocks such as Kadence and Gutenberg, with clean headings, internal linking, and URL structure planned before launch.
WordPress speed optimization
Caching, image compression and WebP, script and CSS deferral, font loading, database cleanup, and removing plugins that add weight without value.
SEO plugin setup & cleanup
Rank Math or Yoast configured correctly, duplicate tags and sitemaps removed, titles and meta templates set, and thin archives noindexed.
Schema & structured data
Organization or Person, Service, Article, FAQ, Breadcrumb, and Product schema connected into one clean graph that search engines and AI tools can read.
Core Web Vitals fixes
Targeted improvements to LCP, INP, and CLS on your real templates, verified with field data in Search Console.
Ongoing maintenance & monitoring
Safe plugin and theme updates, checks that sitemaps and key pages still work after changes, and monthly SEO reporting.
Common WordPress SEO Issues
What I usually find, and how it gets fixed
| Issue | Why it hurts | The fix |
|---|---|---|
| Heavy page builder or theme | Slow load times and failing Core Web Vitals | Lighter blocks, unused CSS and JS removed, or a rebuild where needed |
| Duplicate SEO output | Conflicting titles, canonicals, sitemaps, or schema | One SEO plugin, configured correctly; theme duplicates disabled |
| Thin archive pages | Tag, author, and date pages diluting the site | Noindex or consolidate, and strengthen category pages |
| Plugin bloat | Extra scripts on every page and more points of failure | Audit, remove, or replace with lighter options |
| Sitemaps silently breaking | Search engines lose track of new and updated pages | Post-update checks and cache rules that never cache error pages |

Why a Developer
One person for the code and the rankings
Developers build sites that look right. SEO specialists write recommendations. You need both in the same place.
When development and SEO are split, speed fixes break layouts and SEO requests sit in a queue. I build and optimize WordPress sites myself, so performance, structure, and search visibility are designed together instead of patched on later.
Alongside development, I’ve led SEO for Mzad Qatar, one of Qatar’s largest multi-category marketplaces, and I run SEO across multiple WordPress client sites at Spark & Wire. See the case studies →

FAQ
WordPress SEO questions, answered plainly
Is WordPress good for SEO?
Yes. WordPress gives you full control over URLs, titles, structure, and code, and has mature SEO plugins. Most WordPress SEO problems come from heavy themes and page builders, too many plugins, and default settings that index thin archive pages, all of which can be fixed.
Should I use Rank Math or Yoast?
Both are capable. What matters more is running only one SEO plugin, configuring it properly, and making sure your theme isn’t also outputting its own titles, schema, or sitemap. I configure whichever plugin your site already uses.
Why is my WordPress site slow?
The usual causes are slow hosting, heavy page builders or themes, too many plugins loading scripts on every page, unoptimized images, and missing or misconfigured caching. Fixing the biggest of these usually improves speed more than adding another optimization plugin.
Can you speed up my site without a full redesign?
Usually, yes. Caching, image optimization, script deferral, and removing unused plugins and CSS often bring large improvements on their own. A rebuild only makes sense when the theme or builder itself is the bottleneck.
Do you build new WordPress websites?
Yes. I build WordPress sites with SEO planned from the start, covering page structure, keyword mapping, schema, and performance, so the site is ready to rank at launch instead of being fixed afterward.
Will changes break my live site?
Changes are made on a staging copy first, tested, and only then pushed live, with a backup taken beforehand. Every change is documented so it can be reviewed or rolled back.
